This took four months from first sketch to final print. The reference material alone — diving deep into actual yoroi construction from Muromachi period records — was an obsession. Every armour plate is called a kozane, and they’re laced together in a specific pattern called odoshi. I wanted that in the model.
Printed on an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra at native 8K resolution with Anycubic Plant-Based resin in grey for detailing. The final display piece is painted with Vallejo acrylics and Citadel contrast paints for the deep lacing detail. Total print time across all parts: forty-one hours.
The STEP file is included for anyone who wants to modify the base, adjust the scale, or swap out the mon on the chest armour. The STL is pre-supported for MSLA printers — remove and re-support only if you’re printing on a tilted platform.
